Tara J. Williams - Patent Infringement Attorney
Tara J. Williams is the head of our IP Team. She earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990 and has since worked as an attorney in private practice, as a corporate patent lawyer with a national chemical company, as well as in-house counsel for a start-up internet company.
She has also worked preparing patent and trademark applications, as well as prosecuting patent and trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Lisa Ford - Paralegal
Lisa Ford serves as Tara J. Williams assistant. With experience working at a USPTO-sponsored patent-research company, she aids Ms. Williams in research and intake.
Eric J. Sanchez - Client Liaison
Eric J. Sanchez is our clients’ primary contact in the office. Because intellectual property cases can take upwards of a decade to resolve, we want our clients to be integrated into the litigation process and to be constantly up-to-date on their cases’ progress. Sanchez serves as the link between client and the rest of the IP team.
Legal issues surrounding patent matters, and intellectual property litigation in particular, can be intricate and complex. The appropriate venue for pursuing infringers and investigating potential patent infringement remedies is in itself a complex matter. Through her years in practice, Ms. Williams has had the opportunity to meet and work with patent infringement attorneys throughout the United States who can assist in legal and industry-specific matters.
