On July 31, 2008, Web Tracking Solutions, Inc. and Daniel Wexler filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Google, Inc., alleging the company’s AdSense service infringes on Wexler’s patent.

Wexler’s patent entitled, “Third party on-line accounting system and method therefor,” describes how to provide accounting and statistical information about advertisements to a website.

This is the fourth patent infringement lawsuit Google has been served with this year.
